I am a Ph.D. candidate working under the mentorship of Dr. Bryan Bellaire at Iowa State University. My research focuses on the ecology of tularemia and the complex interactions between hosts and pathogens. Currently, I am investigating how environmental factors influence the virulence of Francisella tularensis. In addition to this work, I am actively involved in projects within BSL-3 facilities, exploring various aspects of infectious diseases.
Before joining Iowa State, I served as a Research Officer at a government vaccine production facility, where I gained extensive experience in bacteriology, virology, vaccinology, and molecular biology. My interdisciplinary training allows me to approach research questions from multiple scientific perspectives.
I enjoy connecting with others in my field, learning about their work, and exploring new opportunities for collaboration and research. Outside of academia, I love spending time in nature and traveling to new places.
