My research focuses on microbial pathogenesis and interactions between plants and microbes, particularly bacteria and fungi, in tree fruit crops. This involves investigating how these microorganisms cause diseases and studying the mechanisms of pathogen invasion, host responses, and environmental factors that influence disease development. Additionally, our work includes integrated research for managing plant diseases. We combine expertise in microbiology, genetics, and various management practices such as cultural methods, biological controls using beneficial microbes, and targeted chemical applications to sustainably minimize disease impact.
