Lucille Jonas

I am in the Schmitz-Esser lab working towards my Ph.D.in microbiology. My work investigates the relationship between the reproductive microbiome of livestock and host health and performance. We have previously conducted work characterizing the ewe vaginal microbiota throughout gestation. Expanding off of this study, we’re working to understand the functional capabilities of vaginal microbes and how they affect host health and reproductive efficiency.
