I am a Ph.D. student passionate about improving the safety and efficiency of sustainable agriculture through soil and environmental microbiology. Using molecular and culture techniques, combined with field sampling and in-lab plant growth systems, I study the transfer of antimicrobial resistance from manure-associated bacteria to plant rhizosphere and endosphere microbial communities.

I joined Dr Adina Howe’s GERMS (Genomics and Environmental Research in Microbial Systems) lab in the spring of 2021.
