I am currently a Ph.D. student working under the supervision of two major professors,
Dr. Wang and Dr. Song, where I focus on gene editing approaches in relation to
Alzheimer's disease, and investigate cellular responses to smoke exposure.
My project involves the use of bacterial plasmids as vectors for gene editing. I am
particularly interested in understanding how specific gene modifications influence the
onset and progression of Alzheimer’s disease at the molecular and cellular levels.
In parallel, my other research is the biological impact of smoke exposure, both structural
and wildfire types, on human cell models.
My interdisciplinary training in microbiology, gene therapy, and environmental toxicology
allows me to bridge gaps between synthetic biology and public health, ultimately
contributing to novel strategies for disease prevention and treatment.
