Amanda Jo Kreuder

Position
  • Assistant Professor
Department
  • Veterinary Microbiology and Preventive Medicine
My research lab currently focuses on performing translational microbiology research that extends from basic science through applied clinical techniques to improve the health of both animals and humans. In particular, my work currently focuses on the pathobiology of the zoonotic gastrointestinal pathogens Campylobacter and Salmonella, including the use of RNAseq, metagenomics and whole genome sequencing analysis, as well as the use of animal models in infectious disease research. My lab also focuses on clinical large animal medicine, antimicrobial stewardship, and antimicrobial resistance research.
