Binayak Raj Pandey, a third-year PhD student in Microbiology, got a fully funded travel award to present his research at the 2026 EPSCoR Annual Summit. Following a nomination by the National Science Foundation (NSF) EPSCoR jurisdiction office, Binayak was selected for this travel award, which comprehensively covers flights, event registration, and lodging, alongside a dedicated travel stipend for meals. Co-hosted by the NSF and the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), the summit will take place from May 19-22, 2026, at the Hilton New Orleans Riverside in New Orleans, Louisiana. This national event will promote capacity-building and encourage NSF EPSCoR jurisdictions to explore new and innovative approaches to impact their home jurisdictions in STEM research and education. This opportunity will add an academic contribution and enable him to disseminate his research on a national stage.
