Binayak Raj Pandey from Dr. Xiang’s Lab published in Green Chemistry

As the co-first author, fourth-year PhD student Binayak Raj Pandey from Dr. Xiang’s lab published an open-access (OA) review article in Green Chemistry (IF 10.6), a journal of the Royal Society of Chemistry. The article entitled “From source to use – cellulose separation, processing and opportunities for modern applications” has 13 co-authors from three universities in the United States and was supported by funding from NSF EPSCoR RII Track I Award no. 2242763 and the Herman Frasch Foundation for Chemical Research in Agricultural Chemistry, K4525. This review provides fundamentals of cellulose as a biopolymer, along with modern processing and applications.

It has also been placed as one of the featured articles published in 2026 by Green Chemistry as part of the 2026 Green Chemistry Reviews collection and the Advanced Eco-Manufacturing and Sustainable Bioproducts with Lignocellulosic Biomass themed collection.
