New Publication from Faith Rahic-Seggerman: Effect of rabbit gastrointestinal stasis (RGIS) on the fecal microbiota of pet rabbits (Oryctolagus cuniculus)

My collaborators and I are thrilled to announce that our manuscript titled: "Effect of rabbit gastrointestinal stasis (RGIS) on the fecal microbiota of pet rabbits" has been published in PLOS One!

RGIS is defined as reduced motility of any part of the digestive tract that can lead to impaction and death if left untreated. When comparing the fecal microbiota of Healthy rabbits against rabbits with RGIS, we found that two bacterial genera occurred in higher abundance in rabbits with RGIS.

As always, it has been an incredible experience working with such outstanding collaborators!
