Congratulations to Lucas Koester on his recent PhD defense! Lucas' dissertation is titled “Characterization of the dairy cattle rumen microbial communities in response to long term supplementation of a sodium-saccharin based sweetener during normal physiological and heat stress conditions”. He worked in the labs of both Dr Mark Lyte and Dr Stephan Schmitz-Esser.
