Taylor Wherry earns David Francis Award

Taylor WherryTaylor Wherry, IM student in the Department of Veterinary Pathology, earned the David Francis Award for second place poster presentation in the NC1202 Enteric Diseases of Food Animals division at the Conference for Research Workers in Animal Diseases (CRWAD) in Chicago, Illinois.

She was awarded a certificate and $150. Taylor is a third year PhD student in the Stabel lab at the National Animal Disease Center. Her poster was titled "Effects of vitamin D3 on macrophages from cows naturally infected with Mycobacterium avium subsp. paratuberculosis."
